Chapter 17
Sky's POV
Megan, who usually waits outside the door every morning, is not there today and her absence goes unnoticed by everyone else. There is a part of me that is concerned that her absence today may be due to the fact that I slapped her yesterday. But upon entering the school, I see her at her locker.
Despite her face being healed, she consciously avoids making eye contact with me. I can't help but feel a little amused that she's finally taking me seriously.
While we were on our way to school, I shared the news with Kyle, but I couldn't quite gauge whether he was impressed or disappointed by what I had told him.
‘Ethan would have been proud of me. I can imagine his stupid smirk turning into a grin as I tell him how I stood up for myself.’ I quickly shake Ethan from my thoughts and rush to class.
