Sky's POV

“Why are you guys back?” After taking a huge bite of an apple, I look at the rest of them.

“Kyle was in a frenzy when he found out you were going through your initial shift alone, and subsequently told us you made your way to the woods. Hence, I started to feel concerned.” Owen responded with a dismissive shrug.

Kyle stood in the background, leisurely propped against the wall, deliberately not making eye contact with me.

“I was fine.” I took another bite of my apple. “I mean, it hurt, but it felt amazing once I had done it.”

Uncle Morison smiled at me. “It’s incredible, isn’t it?”
