Sky's POV

"Could you shed some light on the content that he intends to discuss?" Owen has inquired of me once more, bringing the total number of times to three.

I'd rather not dwell on the prospect of having to confront Ethan because it's just a concept at this point. Having said that, I am acutely aware that this is an inescapable circumstance. The things that he intends to say will make the struggle that I am already having to come to terms with and fulfill my resolution even worse. It is simply not an option to lose him, and it is also not an option to think about taking him away from the people he cares about against his will.

The magnitude of this thought is so overwhelming that it causes me to experience such a powerful emotional reaction, and as a consequence, I find myself crying.
