Chapter 60

Sky's POV

“I’ll do it.” With a short nod to show his understanding, Ethan puffs his chest out nobly to display his pride.

“No way.” I shake my head. “There is no way that you can keep your cool with your father. Specifically, when there is no one to oversee you.”

“I do not need to be monitored, Sky.” He says. “I can control myself.”

As Silas takes a step towards me with his hand raised, as if to strike me, Ethan's immediate reaction is to jump in front of me, shielding me from any possible harm. Silas is sent flying across the room after he receives a powerful push from him against his small but sturdy chest.

With his claws outstretched and teeth visible, Ethan is in attack mode. His eyes have darkened and his breathing increased.

“Well, it’s safe to say that it can’t be you.” Aggie says with wide eyes.

Owen lends a hand to help Silas get back up on his feet, while Ethan takes a deep breath and begins to calm down.
