“Wait,” Aggie interrupts, “the Alpha, our Alpha, their father, your mate’s father, is trying to kill you?”
“Yes.” I nod, watching Lowell act annoyed and bored, mocking her behind her back.
“Have you been genuinely targeted by his attempts to end your life?”
I acknowledge what she said with a brief nod of my head.
“If that is the case, then why are we simply remaining in this place?” In an impatient manner, she asked the question.
Ignored and disregarded, her question remains unanswered, leaving a sense of tension in the air. Every single person in the room directs their gaze towards her, affording her the chance to respond to the question independently.
“We are open to your suggestions on what steps we should take.” I ask her, folding my arms over my chest.
