Sky's POV

Startled by the sudden sound of a loud and harsh knock on the door, Ethan and I quickly turned our attention away from our seated positions. With a shared sense of curiosity, we both shifted our gaze towards the door, contemplating the identity of the person who could possibly be waiting.

“What the hell is going on in there?” Lowell shouts through the door.

As I looked at Ethan, I waited patiently for his answer, but his eyes retained their pitch black hue and his breathing showed no indication of calming down. I turned back to the door, exhaling and pressing my lips together; debating on what exactly to say.

“We’re fine!” I finally shout back, in an unsteady deep voice that brings another growl from Ethan.
