Chapter 18. Be Suspicious

"Have you been going out a lot lately?" Eldison scolded his daughter, who had just returned home. Evelyn stopped her steps and turned around. "Where have you been?"

"You usually never ask me where I go or what time I come back," she said. Evelyn took another step away from her father. But just as she took her second step, Eldison called out to her again.

"Did you just come back from Lily's boutique?" Evelyn stopped her steps again. She turned her head in fear and nodded. "Are you close to her?"

"Not really. I just happened to want to go to her boutique," Evelyn denied. She knew her father must have seen the small bag she was carrying. It had the name of Lily's boutique written on it. Her father's eyes were keen, and his memory was as big as a house.

"Do you know where she lives?" her father asked in a big, intimidating voice. A smirk played on his lips. Evelyn shook her head, wanting to get away from that place quickly, but she was afraid of her father's gaze
