Chapter 21. Lurking in the Distance

Lily flipped through the sheets of paper in her hands, making sure that what she was reading was not wrong. The paper given to her by her late father contained the location of the heir's documents somewhere. Lily had to retrieve it in time so that no one would take it.

The quiet atmosphere of the room was suddenly distracted. The ringing sound of Lily's cell phone made her jump in surprise.

"Yes, did you find the place?" Lily greeted someone on the other side. "What!" he screeched suddenly. "How come?" His tone of voice began to rise. "Keep watching."

"What's wrong?" Sandy came in with a spatula in her hand. She, who was in the kitchen, had to run to Lily's room because of the sound of her best friend's scream.

"Sorry, I was surprised to read the writing on this paper." Lily grinned in embarrassment. She had worried her best friend so much that she had no time to put down the spatula she was using.
