Chapter 14
Ava grabbed the wall to support her weight that was suddenly feeling too heavy for her. Stretching out her eye socket to stop the dizziness that was spinning her to darkness. It isn’t true she hit her hand against the wall as if the pain would vanish the numbness in her. It is not true, it cannot be.
She dialed Luna’s phone but there was no answer. Her stomach lurched and she started pacing the empty entrance of the mansion while repeatedly dialing Ava’s phone. Luckily, she picked on the seventh dial.
“Isabella,” Ava fumed, “What was that about?”
“I believe you’ve seen my text,” Isabella said very calmly.
“I would not be calling you if I did not,” Ava knew she was almost shouting. “How would you know about my mother?”
“Meet me at the Stratosphere in forty-five minutes, I will tell you everything when we meet.”
“You better not be toying with me, Isabella.”
“I am not.” She hung up.
