"Alright..." he hugged me from behind after they left, planting a kiss on my neck. "Can I show you my gift now?"

I nodded, but I was puzzled when he took my hand and started walking towards the side of the house.

"Where are we going?"

He didn't even need to answer.

The path that appeared, full of stones, leading to the cottage behind, was all lit up with small paper lanterns.

The entire path was illuminated, and the ground was covered in rose petals.

I smiled as he looked at me with the same huge smile as before.

He walked ahead, full of excitement, as always.

When we reached the cottage, my smile grew even wider as I saw the door already open, and the inside filled with roses.

There were bouquets scattered around, as well as petals everywhere, like on the bed and even in the bathtub in the corner.
