Chapter 56. The Torment
The glorious sun rays seeped into Kelvin’s room, ushering in a new day. He has been awake for a while but still relaxing on the bed.
“Today must be a good day,” he said.
Since Rick turned him down and asked him to face Fur alone, Kelvin has been looking over his shoulders for Fur who continued to send him threats in his letters.
The full moon would have made a difference. He wouldn’t be so scared of Fur but will put him down for good. Outside full moon, he’s just a werewolf with limited strength.
His lost in his thoughts, but the loud ringing tone interrupted his thoughts.
He peered at his phone. Rick’s name flashed on the top screen as the caller. Kelvin hissed and looked away.
“Why is he calling?” he mumbled.
He is pissed at Rick. His gut told him to get his ass fired for failing to do him a favor, but he didn’t want to be the type of boss that would pick on his employees over a little favor he asked from them.
