Chapter 88. Disruption
“Multiple gunshots fired. I repeat, multiple gunshots were fired. Requesting immediate backup at Leo’s Cemetery!”
Detective Jones always carried a walkie-talkie, which he often strapped around his waist each time he stepped out. Radioing for backup was the least he could do at the moment before figuring out where the shots were coming from.
The shots continued rapidly in a deafening sound. Lacey snarled as her eyes glowed. She hopped across the tombstones. With her enhanced hearing ability, she could tell where the rapid gunfire was coming from.
Ruby saw her run at an accelerated speed toward the east side of the cemetery. She didn’t like it when Lacey endangered herself just to save others. Crouching behind the tombstone, she moved slowly, making sure she maintained good cover behind the tombstones around.
