Chapter 48
The next day, Raymond requested we meet with him and the noblemen in the War Room. As soon as he had returned to his castle, he sent word out to the noblemen of our newly developed plan to attack Livery. We spent the morning getting ready and were at his castle by mid-afternoon. Nocturne was anxious as we made our way to the War Room.
“What if they refuse to sign the contract?” She asked me when we entered the lobby that led to the War Room. It was completely void of life. My own anxiety shot through me when I saw no one outside of the War Room. Usually, a few nobles would be lingering in the lobby, so to see it barren was worrisome.
