Chapter 62

As Nocturne was dying in my arms, a swirl of black shadows appeared near us. I watched as the God Killer floated in front of us as a destructive power poured out of it. The knights and demonesses prepared to fight to protect Nocturne and I, but I could tell Ris was not about to attack us. His voice then filled my ears and he spoke in a somber tone.

 “There is much pain here.” Ris said. “The mortals…why do they mourn with you?” He asked.

 “We mourn the loss of a beautiful soul.” I answered him as tears continued to stream down my face. “She gave up her life to stop an evil soul…why would we not mourn such a sacrifice?” I asked him. I then became filled with rage. “You immortals, you gods! I curse you all! You created us just to abandon us! You took away the only person I ever loved! I curse you all!” I screamed.
