Chapter 11

Ethan 

Ethan rose in the morning to do some bodyweight exercises on his day off from baseball. He’d been sleeping late due to study, and when he checked his phone, it was already 11 am by the time he had finished his workout. He had to do errands with his day off class–cleaning at home, for starters. Hayley popped her head in through the door. as he finished tidying his room.

“Wanna do groceries together?” she asked. 

“Sounds like more fun than doing it alone,” Ethan replied.

They grabbed their keys and shopping bags and climbed into Hayley’s car. 

“Let’s blast some music!” Hayley said as she turned up the volume on the radio.

Popular songs came on that they belted out the lyrics for as she drove. Shopping went by with many laughs, and Ethan felt happy like things were going well with Hayley. After that, he made sure that they met on campus regularly for coffee breaks
