Chapter 52

“I knew it wasn’t seven, call Jerry again, ask him what the code is.” Alan sighed.

Keith called Alan while they both waited impatiently but he didn’t pick up. They called him again three more times and when it became evident he was probably in no situation to pick up, Keith thought of something.

“Why are we not just taking the whole thing with us?” He asked.

Alan blinked at him, waiting for him to laugh but he was serious. “Have you seen how big this thing is?” He hissed and started trying codes again. He started trying different numbers after one three five and when it got to nine, the safe clicked open and he laughed in disbelief.

He immediately opened the safe but all he was met with at first where just guns. He shoved them all away after confirming they weren’t loaded, digging into the safe but met wads of cash next.

“I’m starting to think Jerry was messing with us and there’s no key,” he said just when he touched a small box at the end of the safe.
