RHIANNON
There was silence in the car—thick, heavy, and strangely comfortable. The hum of the engine filled the space between us, but neither of us spoke. I leaned back against the seat, the city lights outside flickering like distant stars.
The scent of his tux still lingered around me, warm and intoxicating. My nostrils filled with a faint but addictive minty aroma.
After what felt like forever, the car finally came to a slow stop. I pulled his suit over my head, avoiding being seen by people.
Then, the car door opened, and he gently pulled me out, holding onto my hand.
“You can take it off now,” he said in the calmest voice I had ever heard him muster.
I pulled the tux away from my face, blinking as the warm glow of lights met my eyes. The sight before me made my jaw slacken.
