Chapter 35. Want More

VENUS

This next time, I woke up drowsily on the most comfortable bed in the world. I could not remember anything from the previous night but I was not in a rush. Half of the world's population woke up without knowing where they were early in the morning so it was alright. I hoped I had been successful in saving Drew because it was all that mattered.

I closed my eyes because my head was numb but I was pressed. Reluctantly, my eyes blinked open and I pushed my body up with my hands. Halfway off the bed, something heavy and restricting pulled me back to the bed. My weight was thrown to a side and I fell badly on my side.

Cursing out loud, I glanced down at my ankles and saw a tough looking chain wrapped around my left ankle. It was secured with a lock attached to the foot of the bed. What the hell was going on? There was a map of Plum Paradise decorating the wall and battle armoury polished till it shone in the sunlight. It was then I recognized where I was.
