Chapter 46. A Package for Home

Nathaniel’s POV

I almost smiled. Smart move. She wanted me to send cash money to her friend the same way I had done it for her.

“You should know, Rose, sending those packages costs quite a bit, almost the same amount it took to put the package together. I can confidently tell you that getting your package across to your friend will cost you more than the amount you want to take to her,” I tried to explain to her.

“Then… can I ask you to please help me?” she asked me carefully.

Her gaze shifted downwards. Something about her asking for help made me melt, made me want to do whatever it took to help her.

“If you don’t mind me asking, this money… is it to pay for some service or…?” I asked gently, trying not to spook her.

“The money is to help my friend, sir. She’s all alone at the bar and… and now that I can earn some money, I want to try to help her.”

“Does she know you’ll be sending this to her?”

She nodded. “Yes, sir
