Chapter 52. Unexpected Visitor
Rose’s POV
Ferdinand and I had made progress in our discussion. Kael was still very young to form words, but he could at least start to learn to draw and write some alphabets. I brought out his new books and pencils and started to guide him to write something.
Kael was surprisingly cooperative and even excited about learning something new, which made me very happy. Every time I gave him a little task, and he was able to complete it on time, I gave him a sweet treat. I gave him very small bites because I didn’t want him to have an upset tummy afterward.
Kael and I spent most of the morning in the sitting room we were using, and when it was almost past lunchtime, one of the guards came to knock and tell us that the master was waiting in the dining area for us. That probably meant he wanted his son to come join him for lunch. I checked my wristwatch for the time. I almost gasped.
