Chapter 51. Passion

Rose’s POV

I opened my eyes. I was surprised to see that I wasn’t in my room. I tried to sit up to figure out where I was, but I felt strong masculine arms around me, and the weight of the arms prevented me from getting up.

I looked to my side and saw Nathaniel lying peacefully beside me. That was when the memories of what had transpired last night started to rush back. I could make out the tattoos on his body more clearly now. They ran from his hands to his shoulders and then his neck and lower body.

His breath smelt so manly, with a hint of perfume on his body. My body trembled slightly. Last night had been electric. I had told myself earlier on that I wouldn’t allow myself to be carried away or ‘used’ again. But last night, no one was using anyone.

I took deep, quiet breaths to try and calm myself. I needed to get up and go to Kael. He would need me. He must have been the only one in his room. I tried to turn slightly to both sides to locate my dres
