Chapter 50. A Bully at Home
Anastasia’s POV
I was so ashamed of myself. I didn’t want to let anyone in my room initially. But the knocks on the door were so consistent that I had to eventually open up.
“Oh my goodness, Ana, are you okay?!” It was my friends. They were still around, at least two of them. I went back into the room and sat down. One of them was holding a first aid box and a bowl of hot water.
“Yes. Thank you for staying back,” I whispered. I couldn’t even look at their faces. I knew my face was badly swollen, alongside parts of my body, and I was bleeding out of my gum.
“Of course.” They made me rest my back on some pillows and gently pressed the wounds on my arms and then my leg.
“Ana, I’m so sorry about this…”
“You don’t have to be, Lesley. None of this is your fault. Owww…” I flinched from the pain of the water against my wounds.
