Chapter 67. Regret
Anastasia’s POV
I monitored the cleanup after the party. Maybe it was me trying to get over what had happened earlier with my sister.
When we were done with the hall, I went straight to my bedroom, hoping to bump into William before he went out for maybe an after-party. I wasn’t sure what plans he had for the rest of the day, and I frankly didn’t care.
Our marriage was so strained now. Most of the time when we spoke, he was abusing me, verbally or physically, or just ignoring me. I lifted my gown with my own hands and made my way to the bedroom. I instructed one of my maids to pay off the workers for the day.
I got to the room and opened the door. William was there quite alright, but Ivy was too.
