Chapter 70. The New Madam

Rose’s POV

After Ana was done talking, she gave my hand a squeeze and then left. I just sat there, holding Kael in my arms and trying to hold onto my senses. What the heck was that about? What was Ana warning me about?

I looked up to see if there were any cameras in the ceiling. Funny enough, there weren’t any. The sitting room also looked unfamiliar. I hadn’t been in this one yet. I didn’t even know it existed. I got up, holding Kael, and walked out of the room. Then I shut the door. I made my way back to the front and saw Nathaniel standing there with Ferdinand. They were both discussing.

As I got closer, the doors to the mansion opened again, and a woman walked in. Some guards accompanied her from behind, holding suitcases. They passed by us and went upstairs with the suitcases.

“Oh, it feels so good to be back home!” the woman exclaimed and smiled. “Where’s my boy? I want to see him.”

Ferdinand turned to me. “Rose, come here, please.”
