A few minutes later, Jessica knocked on the door before pushing it open. “Hi, Jessica,” Brian said excitedly when he spotted the lunch box in her hand.

“Hello, Brian,” she said with a smile. “I did not mean to interrupt your meeting. I just wanted to drop this off for Xavier, but the receptionist insisted that I bring it up myself, and there might not be enough food for both of you,” she said.

“Don’t worry, Brian was just on his way out to have lunch,” Xavier said, then turned to Brian. “Isn’t that right?”

“I know you are very busy, and I did not want to take up much of your time, but the lady downstairs told me I must deliver it myself, so here I am. I will drop this here and be out of your hair,” she said.
