Mrs. Esposito’s heart raced as she saw Adam unexpectedly enter their home. Her mind raced with worry, fearing that something terrible had happened. She couldn’t help but wonder what had brought him here so abruptly. She was expecting his visit, though.

Adam broke the silence, his voice calm, “I came to collect some things from Faith’s room.”

“But didn’t she take everything with her?” Mrs. Esposito was confused.

“She left a few things behind, which I gifted to her,” Adam said.
