Chapter 18
“She was my boss’s daughter. Young, beautiful, and elegant; anyone could feel head over heels for her, but a big party animal. To bring stability into her life and seeing my sensible nature, her father betrothed her to me. I was on cloud nine. Not only did I get married to a beautiful woman, but her father also made me work in their family business. She did change a bit; she was a decent wife only as long as you were decent with her. “I did not care about her attitude. To me, business was more important than her snobby tantrums. I invested myself into it and made it reach a peak. That was the time I remembered my parents for the first time in years, only to hear that they died waiting for me.” His voice started to get heavy with emotions.
