As they reached the door, Kattie’s steps suddenly halted. Jasper, noticing her worried and somewhat fearful expression, stepped closer, taking her hands that felt cold because of the outside weather. He transmitted his warmth to Kattie, a tender moment he didn’t want to end.
Ace, witnessing the scene, turned away, feigning ignorance, not daring to intrude on this moment of parting. Jasper embraced Kattie for a long time, not saying anything, just wishing that time could freeze at this moment, with nothing and no one to separate them.
