Chapter 54. Moving In

Pain that's the first thing I can register. Pain all over my body and mostly on my neck. My eyes shift around behind my closed lids as I fight to open them. I need to wake up but it seems so impossible to do. I shift in and out of unconsciousness till my eyelids finally flatter open. The bright light blinds me, making me squint my eyes shut.

“ Wake up baby.” His voice cools. I feel his large hand holding my smaller and the sparks that ignite tell me exactly who it is.

I groan and finally open them. My gaze shifts around the room and I instantly know I am in the hospital. To say I am surprised is an understatement.

“ Ho..” the pain in my neck was so intense that I instantly stopped talking.

Maya winces inside of me she too feels this pain and it hurts her that she can't heal from it.

I close my eyes and I feel my tears drop on the sides of my face.

“ Hey, it's going to be okay. It's going to be okay.” Kayden comforts me his voice so soft
