Chapter 55. Commotion

There is commotion inside the pack house and it has caused so much noise most pack members just want to see what is going. It's the kind of noise or gossip that even if you knew how to mind your own business you would still get swayed and rocked into this boat.

Kayden lets out a deep powerful growl. Pack members move away instantly. He is like a ticking bomb and any time it's going to explode. He sets me down gently even though his whole body is shaking. I put my hand on his back to calm him down.

‘ This is my fight, let me take care of this.’ I tell him. If I don't Lexi will always pick on me.

‘ No it was never your fight to begin with. I am the one who brought Lexi in my life and I should be the one to solve this. I don't care. I thought being close to her would have let me know what kind of poison they used on my mate as she seems to have a lot of information but I was wrong so wrong.’ He reasons.
