Raya’s POV

“I cannot believe that you will allow a stranger to follow us,” Lord Christopher was saying atop of his voice angrily.

I had been on my way to the library when I heard voices coming from there so I had stopped to listen.

“He is not a stranger.” It was Thallus who spoke. I wondered why he was here this early.

“He is not a stranger? How can we possibly trust him with such a sensitive task?” Lord Christopher sounded very annoyed. I wondered why he was always angry.

“He can be trusted I have looked into his background,” came Thallus reply.

“Just the way you looked into Jethro’s? What is it with you Thallus? Must you be swayed by every pretty boy you see?” This was news to me. I knew the Alpha was an ardent womanizer but I would never have guessed that he was into boys too.

“I am not attracted to Michael, I just think he will be best in handling the vampire.”
