Keenan’s POV
“Then you should not have done so in the first place, your apology is pointless now. Your execution will serve as a warning to all people, your death will not be in vain,” said Thallus standing up from his throne in the full fury of his wrath.
I had never seen Thallus like this before. It seemed like there was something other than what Lord Finn had done that was fueling his anger. It was as if he was using Lord Finn as a means to vent his anger.
“Michael, take this pitiful being out of my sight. He is to be locked until this assembly is over,” asserted Thallus. Indeed, today was not Lord Finn’s day. He had woken up this morning an honorable man and he was going to end his day killed like a common criminal.
“Thallus…” Lord Christopher was saying. I could see that his hands were trembling slightly, he had not expected this sort of reaction from Thallus. I could tell he felt like he was losing control over Thallus.
