Keenan’s POV
She was an older woman but one who even despite the wheel chair had around her a refined air. There was just something elegant about her.
She looked at me and squinted as if she had seen someone familiar. I dipped my head slightly in a bow in her direction. Her fixated gaze on me made me feel uneasy. I felt like she could see through my disguise, that she saw Keenan and not Michael. My heart skipped hoping it was only a feeling and she was seeing Michael.
“He’s my right-hand man and personal guard,” said Thallus.
“I see, have we met before young man?” she asked coolly.
“No madam,” I responded. It was true, I had not seen her before but she felt familiar.
“He kind of looks like Wyndham, don’t you think?” she said to Thallus who studied my face.
“I don’t see the resemblance, Aunty,” came the reply. I had not known that Thallus had any such family. It explained why he had been so courteous with her.
