Chapter 176. Stealth
“Are you ok?” the guard whispered worriedly as he paused momentarily, waiting anxiously for an answer.
The guards attention was immediately drawn back to the ground just in time to see two large wolves rush at the same time. As they ducked to avoid them, the guard felt his foot slip slightly; however, he managed to right himself just in time and continue his flight. Just before he reached the tree line he’d spotted earlier, he looked back for a brief moment in hopes of getting one final glimpse of his friend; he was relieved when he noticed that the guards had recovered just enough to continue running. He nodded at himself in approval; even though the guards condition appeared worse than his own, he still believed that they would make it.
