“Great pose, Veronica!” hollered the cameraman. “You can take a break now.”

I released a sigh and sat on the beach chair under the umbrella. My manager handed me a leather coat and a cup of hot cocoa.

“You did a good job, ma'am,” Juliette said with an encouraging smile.

“I always do a good job.” I winked at her and wore the winter coat over my bikini.

“It's good that you are starting to take up jobs again. You completely shut yourself—”

“Don't speak of it,” I interrupted her.

“Yes, sorry.”

I made myself comfortable on the beach chair, waiting for the crew to set up the new spot for photo shooting. I looked up at the clear winter sky of Florida.

I loved the weather here. Even in January, the cold wasn't as biting as LA. Not to mention the beaches. It helped me to stay distracted.
