Chapter 54. Lying for Now
I was sitting on one of the benches outside the courtroom. The more time was passing, the more anxious I was getting. While entering the court, once again the paparazzi surrounded me and their accusations were ringing in my head.
Even though the verdict wasn't given, I was already being treated like a criminal. The me that always had my head high couldn't manage to look at the camera today. It was humiliating.
“Here.” I looked up when I heard the voice that comforted me the most nowadays. His green eyes were filled with concern for me. Even though what he said this morning stung me, I was in no position to sulk over it. Therefore, I took the water bottle from Aaron and gulped down the water in a go. “Do you feel nauseous?”
I shook my head in denial. Just then, I felt a soft fabric on my face.
“Why are you getting nervous and breaking out in cold sweats in this winter?” he asked while patting my face lightly with his handkerchief.
