Throughout that week, Lena has been following me to the company and learning about how things are done. It was impressive how fast she picked up things which made me super proud of her.

It was supposed to be just about her learning to take over Pretakis group but I was getting used to having her around me in the office.

Every time she leaned into me during a break, every time her hand brushed mine absentmindedly, every time she looked at me with that warm confidence, I found myself falling deeper.

It was hard to control myself around her and many times, I gave in to it which she never complained about. I knew I would regret it for the rest of my life if I let her go.
