Chapter 180. Thirty Minutes More
Lena’s POV
It was already thirty minutes to the court hearing and we were standing outside the courtroom.
We still haven’t gotten hold of Ian and Theo, Mr. Harrington had to go to the special Detention facility to look for them. He made us leave first and promised to meet us in the court before the hearing begins.
I kept glancing down the hallway every few seconds, hoping and praying that I would suddenly see Theo’s familiar figure rushing toward me, out of breath, holding some miracle in his hands.
But the hallway remained empty.
Only strangers walked past, their whispers sharp, their eyes curious.
Liana paced beside me like a restless storm.
Her phone was pressed to her ear again as she kept trying to reach Ian over and over again but it kept going straight to voicemail.
