Lena’s POV
Daisy’s living room was filled with soft laughter and the faint baby scent that clung to everything. Madison was perched on the arm of the couch, I sat cross-legged on the rug, and Liana leaned against the kitchen counter with a glass of juice in her hand. Daisy sat in the middle of it all, glowing in that exhausted-but-happy way only new mothers did, her baby boy cradled carefully in her arms.
“He’s perfect,” Madison whispered for the fifth time.
Daisy smiled proudly. “I still can’t believe he’s real.”
We congratulated her and teased her that her baby looked nothing like her. He was a carbon copy of Austin, from his hair, eyes, nose and everything.
