Lena’s POV

I removed my hand from his and gave him a confused look. “What’s wrong? Are you surprised that I’m married?”

“No, I just didn’t expect that you would marry Trevor.” He stepped back and ran his fingers through his hair. “I know he’s your mate and I’m not that close to him but I just feel like you deserve the best.”

I laughed and shook my head. “Trevor is not my husband, if that’s what you are worried about.”

His face scrunched up in confusion for the tenth time in the last few minutes. “Then who did you get married to?”

“Why don’t we talk over Chinese food? It’s my treat today.” I smiled as I hopped to my car without waiting for him to reply.

He was still standing where I left him when I got into my car. I drove and stopped beside him. “Come on, let’s go.”

Without saying a word, he turned and walked to his car. I drove to the Chinese restaurant and he followed behind me.
