Chapter 26. If You Don’t Give Him a Chance

Daisy’s POV

I arrived at my parents’ compound in Greenwood pack, one of the smallest packs in Moon city which is farther away from Shadowpack and Moonlit pack. My mother, Evelyn Hartwood was the first to see me.

“Daisy, is that really you?” She stood up from her chair and moved closer to me.

“Yes, mom, your daughter is home.” I walked faster toward her and hugged her.

She sobbed into my chest as she held me tight. “My little baby, I’ve missed you so much. Why didn’t you come home all these while? Don’t you know that your poor mother has been missing you day and night?”

“I’m sorry. I’ve just been really busy with work.” I pulled away to wipe her tears. “Where’s dad and Grandpa?”

“Your grandfather is inside and your dad went to see his brother.”

I nodded and went inside with her. My grandfather was on his rocky chair with a newspaper in his hand. “Grandpa.” I rushed toward him to hug.

“My little pumpkin.” He said in a hoarse voice
