Lena’s POV
When I woke up the next morning, Lucas was no longer in bed which was good because I didn’t even want to talk to him anyways.
Recalling last night’s conversation just made me angrier. Concluding that Theo has romantic feelings for me and trying to make me stop seeing him just for his reputation is low even for him.
I sighed and climbed down from the bed before dragging myself to the bathroom. After freshening up, I made my way downstairs and the faint aroma of freshly baked bread drifted to my nose. My stomach growled in hunger and I hurried down, so I could feed the food monster in my stomach.
As I got to the entrance of the dinner room, I froze in my steps. Lucas was sitting at the head of the table, his posture straight and imposing even while sipping his coffee. He looked infuriatingly composed, as if last night’s heated exchange never happened.
