Chapter 56. Dna Test

Max’s POV

I stepped out of Mason’s hospital room, fingers shoved into pockets, my mind in turmoil.

My conversation with the doctor still revolved in my head.

“You want us to run a DNA test between you and Sophie? Is there a possibility that she might be yours?” he asked.

“I think so.” I ran my fingers in my head. “I’m not sure, honestly but I need to clarify my curiosity.”

“Okay, I “ll get the blood sample to the lab.”

As he was about to leave, I stopped him. “One more thing, Ava and Mason shouldn’t know about this.” he nodded and walked away.

What I was doing didn’t make any sense but some part of me just couldn’t let it go. What if Sophie were my own daughter?

But Ava would never lie to me about something like that. And Mason? He was annoying most times, but he wasn’t cruel enough to lie to me about this too. He is my brother after all. But that pesky little voice in the back of my head just wouldn’t keep quiet.
