Chapter 13. Mere Thoughts

Mila was in awe as soon as they entered the mansion where Edward’s daughter lived. 

When they got out of the car, they were welcomed by a little girl who had a loud voice.

“Daddy! Daddy!” 

Rose yelled as she ran toward her father. Edward got a hold of his daughter and spun her in the air, and Rose gave him a lot of kisses.

Happiness was written all over their faces, while Mila was just standing there and astonished by what she saw. 

Their affection for each other was very evident in their eyes.

“I missed you, Daddy!” Rose said as she kissed her father’s cheeks.

“I missed you too, my Rose. Here, I bought you a gift,” he said and showed the paper bag to her.

“Wow, a gift? But it’s not my birthday yet, daddy,” she said but still accepted the bag and peeked at it.

“Because daddy misses you so much, and I want to give my baby girl because she’s been a good girl, right?”
