Chapter 20. He Missed Her

It was as if Mila's body had its own mind when, against her will, her feet brought her closer to Edward, embracing him so tightly that she buried her head in his neck and closed her eyes, feeling his warmth.

She'd forgotten how to separate herself from him, and all she could think about at that time was how much she missed him.

Edward was in awe, at a loss for words, and his gaze darted all over the room. The two maids seemed a little bewildered initially, but they quickly averted their gaze as Edward made awkward eye contact. Slowly, he raised his hands and, although hesitant, still tapped Mila on the back.

A few seconds later, Mila opened her eyes and finally realized what she had just done.

She instantly drew back, smoothing her shirt and staring at the floor. She knew that her face was bright red now.
