When he showed it to a jeweler in the city, he found out that the ring was a style popular in the Far East. He decided that he needed to go to Constantinople and make his way further East from there if he couldn’t find Antoine. Where he’d go, he had no idea.
“That’s an exciting destination,” Henri commented about Constantinople as Pierre read through books about the city and the culture in his attic room while his friends visited.
“I’m interested in seeing the countries to the East,” Jacques said. “Let’s all go.”
