Pierre packed his bags with excitement. As he took down all the postcards on his wall addressed to Yuu, he stored them carefully in a folder and slipped them into the bottom of his suitcase. However, after a bit more thought, he didn’t want the others to ask about the cards addressed to someone else, so he cut a slice into the fabric lining of the suitcase and slipped them in there. He was motivated to find his muse, his lover, and thought about him as he went for a walk the day before he left the boarding house. He ran into Leon and Josephine outside as they walked up from her work.

“I’m glad I ran into you,” he told them. “I’m leaving this afternoon.”

“So soon? We haven’t planned a farewell for you,” Leon replied.
