“The nurse said Jane…” Tom wanted to narrate, but Martinez interrupted.
“What if she lied? She wasn’t there, so how could she have narrated it so well? We are missing a few more links.” Martinez said, and Tom looked away.
“Call Lisa; tell her we want all the details they could get from the dead bodies, all the details!” Martinez said, and Tom was confused.
“The doctor said he had conducted the autopsy before,” Tom said.
Martinez sighed. “And you trust him? Why did they conduct the test behind us? Why didn’t they wait for your orders before conducting the autopsy? It’s suspicious if you ask me. Right now, we can’t trust anyone. Low-key, we know we are fighting against the upper system for the whole city. We don’t know who is who. So, let’s be extra careful with this,” Martinez said, and Tom nodded.
