Tom stood up instantly, rushed to Mr. Bolton, and almost strangled him.

“Who told you about Jane? What did you know? Why are you asking? Are you the one who killed her?” Tom yelled, but Mr. Bolton dusted his clothes and calmly walked away. He got to the door and looked back at Tom.

“I am recording everyone you lose during your term, from the ladies to Sean to Jane and the survival; all is on you, Sheriff Tom,” he said and walked out with no more words.

“I need to meet all the officers now; the rubbish has to stop. How did all the information leak? Who on earth is the informant? I seriously don’t understand anymore,” Tom said frustratedly.

“Maybe the officer works for the governor, and one of the governor officials is one of the attackers; we have to be very careful,” Martinez said as she walked to the door.
