I spared my wristwatch a glance for the nth time. I was on the verge of getting pissed. I was supposed to meet Nora and discuss the activities for the student week.
I picked up my phone from the table and was about to call her when I saw her entering through the door. She waved her hand over in return, but I rolled my eyes. If only she knew that I was on the verge of bursting.
“Sorry, dear, I kept you waiting,” she said, taking the seat facing me.
I passed her a glare. “You kept me waiting for ten minutes. Good ten minutes.”
“I won’t argue on this. I know it’s my fault. Let me make it up to you.”
“With what?” My voice was almost on a high pitch.
“I know you’re hungry. I will order a delicious lunch for you. Bills on me.” And that shut me up. Literally, I was starving. I didn’t eat that much during breakfast. The hunger added up to my pissed-off mood.
